Biography of David Bismuth
David Bismuth routinely represents and advises entrepreneurs and investors in a wide range
of industries, including technology, manufacturing, and entertainment. David’s practice
focuses on cross border and domestic corporate and commercial transactions for start-ups,
small and mid-cap companies. He has also served as outside general counsel for over fifty
companies.
David’s mergers and acquisitions experience includes providing strategic counsel to target companies and handling complex negotiations in buy out deals totaling in aggregate over $500 million. He also advises private purchasers in negotiating cross border acquisitions of high-tech and media targets and represents angel investors and start-ups in seed, series a and series b financing rounds.
David’s experience in the entertainment industry includes advising and representing
numerous entertainment industry players in acquisitions of production companies and apps,
including augmented reality gaming and music apps, negotiating above the line talents
contracts and iTunes licensing agreements.
David has extensive international experience and has negotiated deals in multiple
jurisdictions, including the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Israel, Mexico,
Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to launching his practice, Davis was an attorney of Counsel for Eanet, PC in Los Angeles
and was an attorney in Paris, France, at Bayle & Hasbanian, a major boutique firm in EU
focusing on transactional law. David holds an L.LM. in General Studies from Georgetown
University in Washington, D.C. as well as Master degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School in
Toronto, and Université Aix-Marseille III in France. David also received a post-graduate
degree in Legal Management in International Business Organisations and worked at the
Trade Department of the French Embassy in Washington D.C.
David is admitted to practice in California, New York, and France, and resides in Los Angeles.
